A house fit for a Lemon.

So, I've been set back again and again on the project, but I finally got around to some housebuilding today. Screenshots incoming. (And I'm going to finish my character shots. Promise!)

The Lazy has set in

Despite thinking of you often, little blog, and readers (do you exist? Maybe?) I have sadly stalled on the project. A combination of visiting parents for the Holidays 1700 miles away from my hard drive (and all my sims!!!) and laziness leaves me with no posts, and no real work to show for it. I was using a second install of the game to build the houses around me for the second world, but only finished the first one. I still plan on uploading the houses I have built for you all in the near future. As soon as I make it home. Airports aren't scary! No.... *begins shaking in boots* Not at all.

Since they will get their own post, I'll post the "warning" here:
I will not upload files to any site that contain viruses or use a site I feel is untrustworthy, HOWEVER, you are always advised to thoroughly scan files post download and your entire computer regularly. Also, like visiting places at night, if you feel uncomfortable with a site, don't download off of it!!! If you really want something, and don't like the looks of the place it is uploaded, just ask, I'll be happy to find an alternative method for you!

/end mandatory security paragraph. I figure anyone who reads already knows this, but hey, good news is worth repeating.

Happy Holidays!

I'm going as fast as I can!!!

*/end Cartman voice*

As the lovely quote for the title says, I've been working madly to get the world built correctly (Yeah, the first time failed worse than a cake without flour), and the houses to put in it. I'd planned on uploading them to a fansite and linking them, but I'm thinking I'll actually put them up here so you don't have to go anywhere. Let me know what you think... And I'll eventually have up the Sim Shots of my characters!!

Create a World was merely a setback...

Kael'thas quotes aside.... World building is MUCH more complicated than it appears to be on the surface.... Sadly, I figured this out after building the entire thing, only to have the camera clip it in such ways that made it unplayable..

Back to square one on that front.. The story is still fresh to me though, and I'm excited to get into it.

But seriously, it's SOOOOOO tempting to dump this "CREATE IT ALL MYSELFFFFF" attitude and modify an existing world.

Main Characters in CSH:World 1.

Lady Lyona Lemon:

PICTURES

Background: Coming from a positively well off, but odd family, Lya moved to Bridgeport after college to focus on producing music, and keeping up with the business of owning businesses. Quick to fall in love, she was spotted with several celebrities, and a well known crook, Vlad What's-his-Face*. After meeting Amilydia, and breaking it off with Vlad, she decided the town had become too much for her and struck out traveling, using the nearly endless cash flow from the numerous bars and clubs around town she owned. Months later, she suddenly returned from a trip early, packed up her sports-car, and Amilydia, sold every business but the 501 and left town.

Amilydia Bathsphere:

PICTURES

Background: Lydia was never all that great at being unnoticed. At least that's what she tells everyone. Determined to become famous for no reason other than just wanting to be, she moved to Bridgeport with all the money she could come up with, occasionally moonlighting at bars with her modest 'tending skills. When Lyona walked in one night, ready to own the place, she knew she'd found her new best friend. Who better to help her on her way to celebrity than a focused woman, with career goals, and an endless pocketbook? Luckily, she won the Lady's heart and was shortly after whisked right back out of Bridgeport on the road to somewhere else. Her "I want to be famous" influence is seen all over town in the spots that attract celebrities. Especially noticeable is her love for all things Shang-Simly.
Her last request before settling in with Lya? An Asian themed Bar, complete with full bar and band.

*: This is totally what I'm going to rename him... I think he's Vladimir Shlick.. I didn't think it was cool either.

World One: Citrus Habour

Citrus Harbour is a town of necessity. Lady Lyona Lemon (Who isn't the most creative) wanted to get out of Bridgeport... A string of bad relationships, a brush with a Vampire, minor celebrity, all too much for this usually quiet Sim. After several months of traveling back and forth in the world and hiding out in her penthouse apartment overlooking the Lounge, Clubs, and Bars she owned, she decided to break away. Start a new place out of whatever small town was lying around in need of money. Dragging her last love, and best friend, Amilydia Bathsphere with her, she found the sleeping town of North Blanket. Deciding it was perfect, she sold off all her businesses aside from the 501, and poured money into the town, making it a eclectic mix of suburb and hotspot.

Recently, rumors that her old Vampire flame is in town and aiming for her, and the cash he thinks should be in the underworld, are starting to spread. Is it true? Is that why the fence around her modest manor keeps getting higher?

Screencaps coming Soon. Next up, character introductions.

About the Project/Rules

So, you've come past the last two posts and still want to know what the hell I'm doing. I like you already!! Don't mind me if this gets wordy, just skim to the interesting parts.

The Project:
I'm a lazy Simmer. I still smack on Auto-Roof, leave things un-Create A Styled, and make things in the easiest way possible. This will be the mark of my first real challenge. Not just to build worlds and blog about them with creative writing thrown in, but to keep up with it.

Basically, I plan on building three worlds total. Using Create a World, not in game ones. I can use any combo of Lots, Pre-made Buildings, and Previously made Sims (of my own creation only) that I like, as long as I actually do the work of planning out and building the cities. On paper, I'll be keeping a diary of how I do, mirroring a lot of it here. The bonus to blogging is easy Screencapping. :D I'll give lots of illustrations as progress goes on, of the behind the scenes work and from a Sim Point of view.

In that same breath, Sim posts will be IC (For those who don't RolePlay already, it's In-Character. Meaning, as the character (Sim) would write it out). I'll try to add IC tags for those, but they should be pretty obvious. This is mostly creative writing exercises, thrown into a project to keep me busy. (Housewife'ing ain't easy.)
(At this point, I'd like to thank a friend of mine named Eik for the inspiration behind blogging IC! <3)

Now, the TL;DR of the Rules should you want to follow along at home:
1. I'm lazy, if I need money to build, I'm going to cheat. This is more about the creating aspect.
2. Mods are allowed. Unless I find one that auto generates worlds. That one wont be.
3. Worlds must be made with the EA provided tool: Create a World (Still in Beta). Tutorial Videos are allowed.
4. We're allowed to take all the time we need. A month? Sure. A year? Only if I take up Photoshop and make EVERYTHING by hand.
5. Custom Content to your hearts Desire. (Same with Create a Style. All yours).
6. Diary pages MUST be done for each world, along with a description. It's up to you if you want to put it on the internet or not.
7. Spend at least a few Sim Days with your "main" family (Your choice which) to write for them.
8. Above all, it's supposed to be fun. If you really, really, can't use Create a World, wiping out a lot of the base game world and remaking it wont hurt. (It undermines the whole challenge part, but hey, gotta start somewhere)

-Happy Simming!
